Pimples on Buttocks
Causes and PreventionPimples on the buttocks can be irritating, painful and even embarrassing. Acne is never welcome, no matter where it is on the body. Just because it is hidden from public view and on the buttocks does not mean that it is not a concern for those who suffer from it. Pimples on the buttocks can be caused by a number of things. A person’s clothing may be too tight. Stress and certain clothing detergents can also cause acne on the buttocks. Stress can cause acne and is one of the reasons why older individuals experience it. Reducing stressful situations in ones life may have a positive impact and decrease breakdowns.
Clothing that is too tight makes it difficult for the skin to breathe and receive ventilation. This can lead to the formation of acne because the pores can easily become clogged. Detergents and soaps can also irritate the skin and lead to acne. Persons should stay away from soap that is too strong or abrasive as this can lead to buttock acne. As stated above, stress is known is a well known cause of break outs on ones face. Now, it is known that it cause the lower regions to break out as well.
Keeping ones sheets and blankets clean is also important. When they are not placed in the wash enough, oils from the body and dirt can cause irritation on the buttocks and cause pimples. Washing bedding on a regular basis can help reduce pimple formation on the body.
Drug use can also lead to acne, even on the butt. This includes both legal and illegal drugs. Cocaine might cause acne on the buttocks. If a person is taking prescription medications and notices an increase in acne on this part of their body, they will at least be able to rest assured that things should go back to normal once they stop taking that particular drug.
If the break outs are extremely bothersome or if an individual has to take that drug for an extended period of time, they may want to discuss the possibility of finding an alternative medication if at all necessary. If no alternative can be found, an individual will have to simply learn to deal with it and do what is in their power to limit the outbreaks. This would include the things discussed above, keeping bedding clean, lowering stress levels and wearing looser clothing.
